Beverly Browns style is a fusion of the Dutch Masters, Barbizon School, and early Impressionists. After receiving her liberal arts degree from Wittenberg University, she spent another three years studying architecture at the Rhode Island School of Design and graphic design at the Colorado Institute of Art. She has worked as an architectural draftsman, graphic designer and art director. In 2002 she began painting. For the past several years she has studied with Frank Arcuri, David Leffel, HongNian Zhang, Kenn Backus, and Sherrie McGraw. She varies her palette according to the subject matter: limited for plein air landscape work, limited yin/yang for figurative and studio work, and traditional for still lifes, which are set up to take advantage of strong directional light, or chiaroscuro. Browns paintings have received numerous awards, including several 1st Place and Best of Show Awards. For additional information, please visit www.beverlybrown.info. Shipping not included.
