California Dreaming explores Jewish life in the Bay Area from the Gold Rush to the present. This participatory exhibition tells the story of how Jews settles in the area and made lives for themselves in the spirit of independence, renewal, and entrepreneurialism, characteristics that have remained unique to the Bay Area and its diverse Jewish community. Visitors are invited to add their images to the photo wall and their important Jewish Bay Area milestones to the timeline, becoming part of the year-long exhibition. California Dreaming is on view at the CJM through 10/16/12.
