Item Description
A unique opportunity for artisan wine from an exceptional vineyard. Enjoy 3 rare magnums, never released to the public, from Rocky Hill in a vertical offering from 2007 through 2009, which is still in the barrel and will be bottled for you in May.
Rocky Hill is a boutique family wine label with an elegant red blend of Malbec, Merlot, and Syrah. The fruit is sourced from the familys property on Sonoma Mountain, which rises from the valley to provide warm-climate hillside terrain with full sun exposure, its western slopes buffering the morning fog from the Pacific. Wide temperature differentials from day to night in summer allow fruit to develop rich flavor while retaining good acidity. The wine is made and cellared at Three Sticks, under the supervision of winemaker Don von Staavern, whose winemaking pedigree includes helping to create Chateau St. Jeans 1996 Cinq Cepages, Wine Spectators No. 1 Wine in the World in 1999. Savor wonderful wine that will never be available for purchase again!
