Evri Kwong is an artist who lives and works from his San Francisco studio. He received his BFA cum laude and his MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute. He also received a fellowship to study at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Maine. His paintings, drawings, and prints are represented by the Sandra Lee Gallery in San Francisco, Gallery Good in Seoul, Korea, Smith Andersen Editions in Palo Alto, and Dwight Hackett Projects in Santa Fe. He is the recipient of numerous awards including from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation, the Djerassi Foundation, and the Lannan Foundation. Kwong has exhibited his works internationally. His works resides in numerous private and public collections including the Lannan Foundation, the Haggerty Museum, the de Saisset Museum, the San Jose Museum of Art, Hana Bank, Korea, University of Michigan Ross School of Business, Stanford University Hospitals, etc.
His catalog, Just Pretend Everything is OK, presented a mid-career retrospective traveling solo museum show. It was fully funded by many private donors and philanthropic organizations.
