Sanchez led the USC Trojans to an impressive 12-1 record including a victory in the Rose Bowl, where Sanchez was named MVP. In the NFL, Sanchez had immediate success with the Jets. He became just the 2nd rookie quarterback in history to win his first two playoff games. He followed up a successful rookie season by leading the Jets to their 2nd consecutive AFC championship game. Mark Sanchez is in his 4th season as the Jets starting quarterback. As of November 16th, Sanchez has 11,069 career passing yards and 65 passing touchdowns.

Darrelle Revis is considered one of the best defensive backs in the NFL. Revis has been selected to four Pro Bowl teams in his career and was named the AFC Defensive Player of the Year in 2009. Darrelle Revis suffered a season ending knee injury on September 23, but is making a successful recovery and looks to be back to 100% for next season.

NY Jets History

The team was founded in 1959 as the Titans of New York, an original member of the American Football League. Later the franchise joined the NFL in the AFL–NFL merger. Under new ownership, the current team name ‘Jets’ was adopted in 1963. Since 1984 the Jets have played their home games at the Meadowlands Sports Complex. The Jets advanced to the playoffs for the first time in 1968 and went on to compete in Super Bowl III where they defeated the Baltimore Colts, becoming the first AFL team to defeat an NFL club in an AFL-NFL World Championship Game. Since 1968, the Jets have appeared in the playoffs thirteen times, and in the AFC Championship Game four times, most recently losing to the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2010.
