Item Description
Watercolor 20"X24" When the last of my children went away to school I jumped at the chance to fulfill a dream I had had ever since I was a college student. In college, as a way of earning extra spending money, I modeled for the art classes. I can remember wishing I could be the artist not the model. After college, and many years later, I enrolled at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia at the age of 48. Five years later I graduated and have been painting ever since. I love it and am now thrilled at the thought that some of my paintings are as far away as Africa and as close by as San Francisco. My work has been sold in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, (where I used to live), and in the Bay area. As a way of giving back, I decided to donate all proceeds from sales of my art to charities supporting women and children. I also donate paintings to fundraisers and auctions that help the needy or support other worthy organizations.
