Item Description
Painting since the age of 5, Jane Marie Wier Davidian’s talents run deep. Known for her portraits and murals – such as the amazing piece spanning the walls of the historic Old Post Office (or Hog City Diner) building on the downtown Fayetteville Square – Davidian couldn’t be happier. Painting is her passion. “I’m always painting, if I’m not in the middle of a portrait, I’m painting for myself, ” says Davidian. With works commissioned each year both locally and as far away as California and even Rome, Davidian gains inspiration from her travels, but is happy to call Fayetteville and Arkansas home. In 1995, she opened a gallery, which has grown ever since. Originating on Dickson Street, it moved to a high-traffic location on Township, and then more recently to a larger southwest Fayettville “warehouse” space with her husband David Davidian, and iron works artisan.
