Chicago Blackhawks baseball cap signed by Stanley Cup Champ and EPHS 2009 Alum, #8 Nick Leddy.

2008-09, EP: Nick Leddy helped guide the EP Eagles to their first ever state championship. The highly-skilled rearguard finished his senior year leading EP in defensive scoring with 45 points (12 goals, 33 assists) in 31 games.

In addition to the being named Mr. Hockey, Leddy was also named the Star-Tribune’s Metro Player of the Year and was named to the state Class AA All-Tournament team. Most recently, he was one of two Minnesota high school players invited to the upcoming U.S. National Junior Evaluation Camp for the 2010 IIHF U-20 World Junior Championship.

In 2009, Leddy was drafted 1st round (16th overall) by the Minnesota Wild.

2009-10, MN Gophers: A broken jaw limited Leddy at the start of the season but the smooth-skating blueliner showed a lot of improvement in the second half of his freshman year. He appeared in 30 games for the University of MN, scoring 3 goals, 8 assists for 11 points while earning regular shifts at even strength and on the power play. He was signed to his entry-level contract by Chicago over the summer. GM Stan Bowman cited a strong prospect camp performance as the reason for the signing.

2010-11, Chicago Blackhawks: Leddy's quick climb through the Blackhawks organization saw him skate in just 22 AHL games as a rookie, scoring 2 goals, 8 assists for 10 points with a minus-7 rating. He won a bronze medal with the U.S. WJC squad with 3 assists in 6 games. Following the tournament, Leddy joined the Blackhawks and stuck in the NHL for the rest of the season. The blueliner scored 4 goals, 3 assists for 7 points in 46 regular season games and was held off the scoresheet in Chicago's 7-game series loss to Vancouver in the playoffs.
