Item Description
Invite local authors Mary Donlon and Marilyn Rausch to your book club for a unique book club experience and discussion of their novel "Headaches can be Murder".
In addition to the author visit, you will also receive 10 copies of "Headaches Can Be Murder". This is a unique opportunity to join Mary and Marilyn in discussing their book as well as the writing process and how they shared this co-author experience.
Although the book is primarily a crime story, it has strong elements of folksy humor and romance. The book has a unique novel-within-a-novel format, with the main story centering on Chip Collingworth, a novice crime writer in a small Iowa town.
The sub-story is "Brain Freeze", Chip's novel in the making. It takes place along the snow-laden north shore of Minnesota and is about a plot to turn ordinary people into assassins. As Chip writes, he infuses his novel with the people and events around him, including a real-life crime.
Both stories have attractive men, strong-willed women and lovable dogs.
