This work represents Evri's engagement in both object representation (using monochromatic pointillism) and his engagement with abstraction (based in his background in Zen meditation).
BIO:
Evri Kwong is an internationally exhibiting artist, with gallery representation across the United States and in Seoul, Korea. He has exhibited his works in NYC, LA, Seoul, San Francisco, Santa Fe, Hungary, China, Mexico, Hong Kong and elsewhere. He is the recipient of many national awards, including a Pollock-Krasner Foundation Award, recipient of funding and exhibition from the Lannan Foundation, an NEA fellowship, a fellowship to the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, etc. His works reside in museums, universities, wineries, hospitals, and corporate, and private collections. Evri's paintings, drawings, and monoprints have been the subject of many solo shows and traveling exhibitions. His work has been widely reviewed in national and local publications, including in a museum and foundation funded catalog. Evri graduated cum laude from the San Francisco Art Institute, where he received his B.F.A. and his M.F.A. He is also a teacher of art, spanning preschool to university levels. In addition, he is an art therapy specialist. Evri grew up in the Sonoma Mountain Zen Center, the son of the the first American-Asian ordained Zen Master. He lived in San Francisco for over 20 years where he still has a working studio.
Some of Evri's collectors include movie actress Diane Lane, Eleanor and Francis Ford Coppola of the Godfather movies, and the Carol Burnett show producer, Tom Patchett.
Evri is also a proud parent to a first grader at Austin Creek School.

Pick Up Info: This item will be ready to be picked up at Austin Creek School in Santa Rosa, CA on Friday, October 17, 2014, during the Walkathon, from 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm, at the Auction Pick-Up Booth.
If you are unable to pick up your item on October 17th from 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm, please contact the auction administrator at donate@austincreek.org by Monday, October 20, 2014. Items not picked up, or had alternate pick up arrangements made, will be donated back to the ACPC. Parents or an adult must be present to pick up auction items. Items will not be released to children.
Billing Info: Credit cards will automatically be billed at the close of the auction on Wednesday, October 15, 2014. Please be sure your card does not expire or change during this time.
