Item Description

The winner of this item and a guest will enjoy drinks and conversation with the Charlie Siskel, the Oscar Nominated Director of the critically acclaimed Finding Vivian Maier.

Mr. Siskel is a television and film producer, whose producing credits include the Academy Award-winning Bowling for Columbine and Religulous.

He made his directorial debut with Finding Vivian Maier, a documentary about a mysterious nanny who secretly took over 100,000 photographs that were hidden away in storage lockers and discovered decades later. She is now among the 20th century’s greatest photographers.

Her massive body of work came to light in 2007 when her work was discovered at a local thrift auction house in Chicago. It would eventually impact the artistic world, and change the life of the man who championed and publicized her work, John Maloof, who also directed the film.

Variety calls Finding Vivian Maier “Compelling. Haunting. Captivating.” Place the winning bid and you’ll spend a fascinating evening with Mr. Siskel getting the inside story about the compelling, haunting, captivating Vivian Maier.*

*The winner will also receive an autographed poster and blu ray DVD of the film.

Restaurant will be selected by Mr. Siskel and will be in LA.

Experience must be redeemed within 6 months of purchase date.
