Travel to Nepal and join Red Panda Network founder Brian Williams in a once-in-a-lifetime adventure! Leave your daily routine behind and spend 8 days traveling and hiking in the eastern Himalayas! Bird watch in Ilam and Dobate, and spend three mornings tracking red pandas and hiking with a view of Mt. Everest.

This is an 8-day trip to Nepal (for 1 person) that includes a strict itinerary. The trip begins in Kathmandu on October 24, 2015. You will travel via plane, driving and hiking across Ilam, Dobate, Sandakpur and Kalpokhari. Your trip will end on October 31, 2015 where it began.

This is a travel-intensive trip that will reward you with unforgettable sights and culture. Brian Williams, Founder Member of Red Panda Network, will be your trip leader as you take this life-altering journey.

All accomadations are included.

Day 1: Arrive at Kathmandu airport, where you will be greeted and transferred to your accommodations. Meet with the RPN team that evening for dinner and a trip debriefing.

Day 2: 45-minute internal flight to Bhadrapur, with spectacular views of the Himalaya ranges! Then travel by road to Ilam, as we begin our journey north into the mountains, passing beautiful tea gardens and Nepali communities along the way. Overnight hotel stay in Ilam, amidst tea gardens.

Day 3: Bird watching on the way during our day of mountain road travel as we ascend higher into Red Panda prime habitat. Arrive in Dobate, a village perched high on a mountain ridge and closest to Red Panda habitat. Light hike in the evening for bird watching and overnight home stay.

Days 4-5: Three days of early morning rises to begin tracking for Red Pandas in the alpine cloud forests. High viewing opportunities of spotting other mammal and bird species; 2 night home stays in Dobate.

Day 6: Hike/Drive half way to and overnight stay at the incredible and picturesque Sandakpur. The highest peak in the Singhalila range (3636 m), with breathtaking sunsets over Mt Kanchenjunga and Mt Everest.

Day 7: Early rise for the panoramic view of the impressive Himalayas with the breaking early morning sun. Hike back down to Kalpokhari and then drive back to Ilam with overnight stay in hotel amidst tea gardens.

Day 8: Depart Ilam by road for the return journey back to Kathmandu.

This auction item is for 1 person. However, there is still availability on this ecotrip, so if you have friends that want to go, please email us. Auction item cost includes meals, beverages (non-alcoholic), lodging, car/jeep transportation, and guides/porters. It also comprises domestic airfare, (not international airfare to/from Nepal) and accommodation for 2 nights and 1 dinner in Kathmandu.
