Item Description

Art comes in all shapes, sizes and mediums. Here is a unique, white-framed piece, all made of fabric, depicting a lighthouse sitting next to a church. Size is 9-1/2 x 11-1/2. The artist is Lynn Mascarelli of Phoenix. Lynn says she has always been on one side of a teacher’s desk or the other. She attended countless universities and colleges, most notably Newark State (when there was a Newark State), Seton Hall University, Rutgers, Skidmore in Saratoga Springs, Grand Canyon University (when it was a college), Arizona State, and the University of San Francisco. She holds two masters’ degrees in urban education from Seton Hall and theology from USF. She has taught on all levels, including college, in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Florida, and Arizona. Locally she taught history, political science, English/English as a Secondary Language, theology, drama, and art in the Phoenix Catholic Diocesan Schools and Phoenix Union High School District for over thirty years. Lynn is recently retired and only now has been able to pursue her artisan dreams and writings at her own Llyndragon Studios. She is a frequent featured artist at the Irish Cultural Center with her paintings and fabric art. Her murals have appeared in public venues and private homes. Celtic landscapes and mystic themes consume her. She shows and sells her works locally, creating special works on commission.
