Meteor Vineyard is the epicenter of the newest of Napa Valley’s AVAs, Coombsville. Volcanic cobble and soil make up the knoll that is Meteor Vineyard- perfect terroir for Cabernet Sauvignon.  Combine that with the temperate climate that is the hallmark for Coombsville and you have the perfect set up for wines of elegance, structure and balance.  

Perseid (named for the largest of the summer meteor showers that grace the western sky) is 100% Cabernet with a twist- a blend of 3 different clones of Cabernet Sauvignon that are grown in this remarkable vineyard.  The result is a wine from acclaimed winemaker Dawnine Dyer that is vibrant, violet-hued, and intense, with flavors of blackberry and just the right balance of high and low tones, and minerality.  It is voluptuous, upfront, ripe, focused, precise, with classic balance and structure and elegance, the hallmarks of all wines made by Dawnine and husband Bill.

Collection of California Sales Tax: Unless a valid resale permit is presented to seller prior to the sale, purchaser will be required to pay all state and local retail sales taxes applicable on the date of sale. Resale permits will be accepted only for businesses that are reasonably expected to buy and sell wine. Sales tax will be collected on the winning auction price of each lot that contains tangible goods.

Shipping or Pick up of Wines: Shipping costs are the sole responsibility of the winner.

Non-Napa County winners of auction lots containing wines will have their wines shipped from the Napa Valley Wine Warehouse storage facility in St. Helena, beginning Tuesday, March 1, 2016. If you're the lucky winner, we'll call you to get your credit card info and share more details.
