Item Description
Mrs. Skokan’s fourth graders love Greenwood! For their auction project this year, the students took inspiration from the community that surrounds them everyday, creating an abstract representation of the neighborhood. Working from a print of a watercolor illustration of the area, students hand rolled hundreds of strips of paper and adhered them to the backing. The result is a fresh and modern take on the age-old art of quilling. From the northern end of Green Lake to Sandel Park, and St. John School in the heart of it all, this work of art from Mrs. Skokan’s class is a reminder that we are all part of something bigger.
