Ken Berman, Sebastopol
The NOMAD
Value: $7,000
Ken Berman describes his artwork as Industrial with architectonic and mechanical influences that reference Cubism, Constructivism, Dadaism and the Steampunk movement.
His work reflects his architectural training and schooling in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, near the mills of Bethlehem Steel, and memories of clanking, chugging machinery found an outlet on the canvas.
The NOMAD was created especially for KRCB by Mr. Berman and has been used as a set piece in our April and June, 2014, televised auctions. The painting is mixed media, mostly acrylic paint, and is 4 feet by 6 feet. It was created on a canvas stretched on a wood frame. The NOMAD references The New Old-Master Abstract Drawing. The work combines older painting methods with contemporary abstraction and drawing.
The NOMAD must be picked up at KRCB; not available for shipping.
