Case 2011 Meritage & Three 750ml Bottles 2010 Meritage
Value: $1,490
Case 2011 Napa Valley Artist Series Meritage and three bottles of 2010 Napa Valley Artist Series Meritage, presented in a wood box.
AuburnJames produces small quantities of artisan California wines. Most of the processing is done by hand under the meticulous care of winemaker, Jim Frost. There are many elements that determine the quality of a wine, and the utmost of care is taken to ensure that each step of the winemaking process is executed to the highest possible standard.
The 2010 Artist Series Meritage, created by winemaker Jim Frost, is a Double Gold medal winner at the 2015 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition and has the impressionistic work of Rick Reinert on the label. A starlit summer sky with its vibrant night colors illuminating the renowned King Street shopping district are elegantly captured in his work, Charleston Nocturne.
This signature Bordeaux blend delivers visually and on the palate as a bold and beautiful representation of distinctive Napa Valley fruit harvested from both hillside and valley floor vineyards. Bold aromas of black cherry, blueberry, vanilla, coffee, tobacco, and chocolate; full bodied and complex. Drink now or cellar. Less than 400 cases produced.
With the 2011 Napa Valley - Artist Series, Jim Frost blended all five of the traditional Bordeaux varietals. Winning the Gold medal in January at the 2016 California Cab Shootout, this wine displays the symmetry, balance, and density that you would expect in an exceptional wine from Napa Valley. On the label, American Impressionist, Linda Nearon, captures the night blooming Cereus, in Burst of Beauty. Very limited production.
