Two(2) tickets to the Celebration of Wally Lamb's new novel, I'll Take You There, Sunday, December 18, 2016 | 3pm at the historic Garde Arts Center, 325 State Street, New London, CT.
Your afternoon includes:
- Screening of Metabook’s documentary short on Wally Lamb, filmed at the Garde
- Discussion on the making of I’ll Take You There Metabook for iPad and iPhone with Wally Lamb and the Metabook creative team
- Screening of scenes from the Garde’s first public feature film The Marriage Clause (courtesy Library of Congress) with live musical accompaniment
- Photo-op with Wally Lamb on stage in front of the “magical time-traveling giant screen”
- Plus musical artists and other guests
A UConn alumnus and Southeastern Connecticut native, Lamb is the author of six books of fiction including She's Come Undone and I Know This Much Is True, both selected for Oprah's Book Club. He was the director of the Writing Center at Norwich Free Academy in Norwich from 1989 to 1998 and has taught Creative Writing in the UConn English Department.
