Item Description
Chittenden, Vermont printmaker and art educator Jeannie Pololak’s work is based in traditional printmaking practices with the application of non-toxic mediums. Her images evolve from a variety of experiences, including her family, ancient artifacts, and abstract landscapes.
“Patterns” is an 8”x11” framed etching created with solar-etching plates, which are made with a light sensitive polymer. “Patterns” was created using Podolak’s photographic explorations, hand drawings and technology, then plated and hand-inked with a blend of non-toxic inks to achieve the color subtleties which define the print. “Patterns” has a total of 18 prints in existence. This print is number 15/18 and is signed by the artist.
