Party in a Bottle: One 3L 2006 Duckhorn Vineyards Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Co-founded by Dan and Margaret Duckhorn in 1976, Duckhorn Vineyards has spent almost forty years establishing itself as one of North America’s premier producers of Napa Valley wines. From its modest inaugural vintage of 800 cases of Cabernet Sauvignon and 800 cases of Merlot in 1978, to its addition of Sauvignon Blanc in 1982, Duckhorn Vineyards has crafted a tradition of quality and excellence that continues today.
The quality of Duckhorn Vineyards' wines has always been based on a commitment to selecting the finest fruit, with an emphasis on site and terroir. Whether carefully sourcing grapes from top sites in the Napa Valley or committing itself to estate vineyards, the winery was built on the belief that great wines begin in the vineyard.
This wine begins with aromas of raspberry, red licorice, black currant jelly, cedar, clove and cocoa, before revealing flavors of blueberry, cherry cola and vanilla. On the palate, the texture is mouth-filling and the smooth tannins are framed by rich, plush oak.

Collection of California Sales Tax: Unless a valid resale permit is presented to seller prior to the sale, purchaser will be required to pay all state and local retail sales taxes applicable in the date of sale. Resale permits will be accepted only for businesses that are reasonably expected to buy and sell wine. Sales tax will be collected on the fair market value of each lot which contains tangible goods.
Shipping or Pick up of Wines: Shipping costs are the sole responsibility of the winner.
Non-Napa County winners must arrange for their wines to be shipped from The Packaging Company, beginning Friday, March 3, 2017. If you're the lucky winner, we'll call or email you with directions for making this happen.
Napa County winners of auction lots containing wine may pick up their wines at the St. Helena office of the UpValley Family Centers beginning Friday, March 3, 2017. If you are the lucky winner, we'll call or email you with details.
