Dear Parents:
If you're curious about your child's processing style, academic levels and intellectual talents, this is the gift for you. If you feel your child needs some additional help in order to reach his or her potential, or if your school has recommended a psychoeducational evaluation, this evaluation will assist you and your child in becoming more aware of his/her talents and will illuminate the manner in which he/she can become more successful and develop and enhanced self esteem as well.

Dr. Marsha Azar, an educator, school and counseling psychologist, will be happy to help you better understand your child's talents, gifts and possible challenges, while helping you determine what services and school accomodations might
be adviseable and available to enhance and develop greater school success.
She has a background as a teacher, guidance counselor, counseling psychologist and school psychologist . She has been working in schools in Illinois, and California, for the past 30 years, and will be happy to schedule some time with you and your child.
The evaluation consists of at least two in person sessions; duration approximately 1 1/2 hours each, followed by a feedback session with parents and student. Additional time may be spent with Dr. Marsha Azar reviewing the evaluation with your child's school (teacher and relevant members of the school's IEP team), if deemed necessary or important. (not included in this package). A brief psychological report will be included in this gift.
Since Dr. Azar lives in Chicago, she will arrange sessions with you and your child either during a weekend (to be determined by
both you and Dr. Azar), or in June or the summer months, as desired and and mutually agreed upon.
