Rebekah's story:
I have been involved in fitness ever since I was 3 years old. From a gymnast, to a dancer, to an athlete, I was always an active child and still am today. I always loved moving my body and challenging myself to be the best in any event I was involved in. My parents had a huge impact on me as a child to live and lead a healthy lifestyle. My mother was a Registered Nurse, Reflexologist, Cranial Sacral Therapist, Pilates, Aerobic, Kick Boxing, Water Aerobics Instructor. Both of my parents re-enforced that keeping your body strong and your mind stronger was the key to a happy life!
I graduated from The American Academy of Reflexology in 2011, and have been practicing ever since. Whether I’m working to encourage or push a client through a demanding workout or to relaxing and calming a client through the touch of Reflexology.
Why exercise??
By exercising you give your body a rhythm to life, you're giving your mind a chance to be challenged, you're giving your spirit time to rest, rebuild, and grow stronger.
What I do as a Reflexologist:
When working on the Feet and Hands, I use a specific touch technique to work within the Zones of the body, and when working on the outer ear I use a reflex map resembling the shape of an inverted fetus on the outer ear. I use the zone and map theories with the specific touch technique to help increase oxygen and nutrient supply to all cells which in return helps the body function to it's optimal level.
