Item Description
This is a proudly-made cloth from Ghana, especially from the Northern regions. It is popularly called the "Fugu Fabric" which is a hand-woven cloth. Northern Kente can be used to make different outfits for occasions such as traditional weddings, festivals and others.
This beautiful ochre and ivory kente is 13.5 " wide and 12.3 feet (147.5 inches) long. This piece would make a beautiful table runner or sew strips together to be fashioned into something else for your home or to create a piece of clothing.
Donated by a WMI Student Scholar from Ghana.
