Item Description
Scott 20th Anniversary CF 704/5 Fiberglass fly rod. 7'-0", 5 pc., 4 wt Fly Rod
Rare commemorative fly rod. Only 250 were ever produced. Each individually numbered.
Recently, one of the supporters of Casting for Recovery, Michigan, donated her late husband's fishing gear for program use and fund raising efforts.
In 1994 with the re-introduction of their fiberglass line (Fibertouch), Scott made a special reproduction of the glass F70/5 as their 20th Anniversary Commemorative Model. The original of course was designed by Harry Wilson back in the early 70's. Mr. Wilson designed it to effortlessly cast a WF4 line, plus it broke down to fit into an 20" tube.
Only 250 of these rods were made, numbered accordingly.
The rod features an unsanded blank. Deep burgundy wraps with black tipping. Bright guides. The script is written in bright red reading: "20th Anniversary Commemorative 1974 1994", and also has all the normal rod information . Has a Scott "U" hook keeper and alignment dots. A signature Scott reverse Ritz grip, with a bright nickel silver cap and ring reel seat over a mortised cork spacer. "Scott" engraved on the bottom of the butt cap. Of course, spigot ferrules. The rod weighs 2.4 oz. The action is medium-fast. Includes original black bag and grey powder coated tube with the Scott logo and "20th Anniversary 1974-1994".
