This offering is for one residential space in any of Wonderwell’s weekend (2-night) retreats or Open Practice Weekends, in 2019.
Nestled in the green hills of the Upper Valley in Springfield, New Hampshire, Wonderwell Mountain Refuge hosts contemplative programs to further the practices of compassion, meditation, and wisdom in daily life. As a Buddhist retreat center, we are dedicated to transmitting the depth of the Buddhist teachings through translating their essence into forms adaptable and relevant to the modern world. We aspire to open hearts, minds, and bodies to their innermost nature, while encouraging openness, clarity, and ethical communication.
Weekend retreats offered in 2019 include: Buddhist study and meditation, yoga and movement, relationships, and contemplative care. Wonderwell also offers Open Practice Weekends that consist of solo and group practice with guided meditation, interviews, and community, leading into the Dharma Sunday program. Accommodations will be rooms with twin beds with one or two roommates. Nearly every guest room at Wonderwell has its own bathroom and shower. The Refuge serves a variety of healthy and tasty homemade meals with gluten-free and vegan options available.
Wonderwell is the retreat and practice center for Natural Dharma Fellowship an organization of Buddhist practitioners dedicated to the joy of awakening. Our practices emphasize the innate wisdom of one’s inherent being, as taught and transmitted in the Tibetan traditions of Mahamudra and Dzogchen. Our core teachers are Lama Willa Miller and Lopon Liz Monson, with many visiting teachers.
