Item Description
Genuine silver tram of King Hetoum I of Cilician Armenia, struck between 1226 and 1270 AD. The coin depicts King Hetoum with Queen Zabel wearing royal vestments, and a lion with a cross. Armenian legends can be seen on both sides of the coin. Silver trams were the principal currency used in Cilician Armenia and are highly prized by collectors.
