Students will explore the local bikeways of the Washington, DC area. Our Outdoor Education teacher, Geoff Baker, will help you explore Rock Creek Park, the National Mall and Tidal Basin, Arlington National Cemetery (and see the Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier), Roosevelt Island, and along the Potomac River towards Mount Vernon. Students will look at the map to figure out distances and other sights along the way, including the best ice cream parlor available on that particular route! Come see DC on your very own spokes.
