Item Description
The idea for a garden of Maine native plants had been percolating in the minds of NGBH's founders for years before it coalesced in early summer 2015. Their vision was to demonstrate the utility and beauty of our native plants so more people would be interested in the ecological and sustainable garden practices that native plants allow.
In Fall 2015, a Bagaduce Music Board member contacted NGBH founders about using their new 4-acre campus at 49 South Street. The partnership with Bagaduce Music has many mutual benefits, chief among them is that the gardens will beautify the campus and further Bagaduce Music's mission to engage the community. The garden is central to the Blue Hill business district, close to schools, and will set an example for future development along South Street.
This tour will familiarize you and a small group of friends (up to 6) with the many native and beneficial plants throughout the Bagaduce Music campus.
