Item Description
Foursight Wines is a small, family owned and operated winery in the cool, coastal region of Anderson Valley. Founded by longtime winegrowers in Anderson Valley, Bill and Nancy Charles, and working with their daughter Kristy Charles and husband Joseph Webb, Foursight crafts small lots of estate-grown Pinot Noir, Semillon, and Sauvignon Blanc.
This 4-bottle Lot includes:
2017 Charles Vineyard Pinot Noir: This Pinot Noir is aged in 33% new French oak barrels. The 2017 vintage was a great one in Anderson Valley, and this wine is already drinking beautifully. It was fermented with wild yeast and wild ML and bottled unfined and unfiltered.
2019 Vin Gris of Pinot Noir: This rosé of Pinot Noir is a rarity for Foursight. Produced only in suitable years, it's crisp and full of peach and strawberry, with a hint of blossom. It pairs beautifully with many foods, yet is great for sipping with friends on your patio. Pinot Noir grapes from their estate were hand-harvested, then gently pressed from the skins using a basket press. Wild yeast and wild ML fermentation, in a combination of stainless steel and French oak, created a beautiful wine best enjoyed just slightly chilled (remove from the refrigerator for 10 minutes before enjoying, or keep in your wine fridge and serve at 50-55 degrees F).
2018 Charles Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc: Bright and crisp, with citrus and blossom notes--perfect for so many dishes from seafood to goat cheese, salads, and soups, as well as becoming your favorite patio sipper. Fermented with wild yeast and wild ML, this wine was aged in a combination of older French oak barrels and stainless steel.
2018 Clone 05 Pinot Noir: This wine is produced from the Pommard clone grown in their estate vineyard. It's slightly riper in style than the "Charles Vineyard" bottlings, with a touch more new oak. It's full of bright cherry, with a little earthiness and toast -- think elegance and balance with a good measure of pleasure!
