Item Description
Check out this hand turned wooden cherry bowl with a black locust base. Finished with food-safe lemon oil. The bowl measures 9.5" in diameter with the base measuring 11.5."
This beautiful but imperfect bowl was handcrafted by local woodsmen Gary Unger. Prior to shaping wood, Gary spent several decades helping to shape the minds of local students as a guidance counselor at Mount Abraham Union High School. As a man of simple pleasures, Gary likes chunks of wood and tries to make bowls.
When not at his lathe, Gary can be found paddling tributaries far and wide, shredding the gnar at Sugarbush, tickling the ivories, stacking wood, celebrating Taco Tuesday's with his gaggle of fellow retirees and spending vast amounts of quality time with family and friends.
