Item Description
Meet via Zoom for 40-minutes with Donna about her books, "Henry David Thoreau Loved the Seasons of the Year" and "If Henry David Thoreau Traveled the Southwest: An Imaginary Saunter". You will also win a signed copy of both books!
"Henry David Thoreau Loved the Seasons of the Year" was used as a story walk at Walden Pond Reservation in the summer of 2018. This book captures the vibrancy of each season at Walden Pond and the joyful youthfulness of Thoreau who was a young man of twenty-eight when he began his stay at Walden Pond. This book will engage children through the simple rhyme in which the seasons are described. Written and Illustrated by Donna Marie Przybojewski. Streamline Publishing, 2017. Hardcover.
"If Henry David Thoreau Traveled the Southwest: An Imaginary Saunter". As one who first suggested that land be preserved for instruction and recreation, Henry goes on an imaginary saunter to various national parks in the Southwest. A children's picture book written and illustrated by Donna Marie Przybojewski. Streamline Publishing, 2018. Hardcover.
The books will be inscribed by the author. Zoom session can be the author reading the books to children and engaging them in conversation. It can be a discussion with an adult on the many ways the author utilized the books as a teacher and incorporated Thoreau into her junior high English classes. It may be also a simple conversation on the author's journey of writing her children's books on Thoreau.
Item Special Note
Meeting must take place during the 2021 calendar year. The date and time is to be arranged between the author and the highest bidder at the convenience of both parties. Author will ship book to the winning bidder within 30 days.
