Item Description
Bring the French Empire style into your home with this elegant portico clock (#2573) by S. Marti of Paris.
This beautiful mantle timepiece measures 16.5" tall by 9" wide by 5" deep. This woodwork has marvelous floral inlay patterns and is in good condition. The pendulum and clock face surround have matching floral patterns in polished brass showing copious detail. The movement on this clock is clean and is in operating condition. This clock runs well with an 8-day movement and with a bell that chimes at the half-hour and counts at the hour. This clock is in very nice condition for its age (believed to be from the 1920s). This clock has polished wood columns with inlay detail and brass caps and bases. No warranty, the clock was operating before it was packed for auction. Minor assembly is needed to attach the pendulum.
