The work was inspired by artist Julian Stanczak. His pieces can be seen at the Akron Art Museum. My artistic theme was simple geometric shapes with limited colors.
Artist Biography: Mary Jo Worthington
Mary Jo Worthington is an award-winning retired Art Teacher (K-4 in the Copley-Fairlawn school system) and a native Ohioan, she was raised in Mt. Vernon. Mary received her degree in Art Education from Ashland University, with stints at the University of Mexico, Ohio State University, Kent State University, and the University of Akron. She developed her passion for art during her childhood and it has been her vocation and avocation ever since.
