Item Description
Privateer LYNX
The LYNX was a topsail schooner, an American design, of the type used as blockade runners and privateers during the War of 1812. Built in 1812, the LYNX harassed British shipping until she was captured by the British Navy and taken back to England. There, she was summarily dissembled and her design was studied and copied by the Royal Navy.
This model was restored by Adam England in 2022 and is being offered for auction at the SS MUCKENTHALER: Voyage to Paradise Gala on August 27, 2022.
