Item Description
Hand made Kumico panel - Dogwood Blossom Kumico Pattern - 8 1/2" by 8 1/2"
This Kumico panel was designed and made by one of CT volunteers, Byron Rall. Byron is an otstanding wood craftman. In his basement he creates all type of wooden items, kitchen tools, furniture and now his new hobby is making Kumico panels. This years big project was making a cradle for his new great granddaughter. In addition, every year he ties 16 flies for each CT participant.
A Kumiko is a traditional Japanese technique, made of many wooden bars crossed and laid to form various designs and expressions. No nails or metal pieces are used, and the wooden parts are put together by adjusting grooves and angles. It is then framed (handmade) with an orange background.
Generously donated by Byron Rall a CT program river guide.
