Kaki is Looking For: An opportunity to live her best life! This sweet girl would like nothing more than to enjoy all the wonderful things that life has to offer without a care in the world. Due to what she likely experienced early in life, she isn't quite there yet; she needs extra love and support to feel calm and be able to trust that she is in a good place.

Kaki is excited about curling up in a warm lap, going on long sniffy walks, and doing all those fun doggy things with her forever humans. If you think you're the one to give Kaki the super special home she needs - and you have a Kaki-sized hole in your home and your heart - we'd love to hear from you!

Gets Along With:  Kaki does well with other dogs.  We haven't seen her with cats, but she can be tested. KAKI IS LOOKING FOR A HOME WITHOUT KIDS UNDER 15.

What My Foster Says About Me: 

Kaki has been with me for two weeks and she's settled in well! This girl LOVES tug-of-war and would play all day if I were willing!
When she wants to play, she gets a toy and places it in my lap or right next to me, and when I say "all done" she will stop the game and walk away. She's very well trained and knows a variety of tricks, including the cutest "high five"! She's food motivated and especially loves cheese!
She goes into her crate easily, and sleeps in her crate overnight and whenever I leave home for a few hours. Kaki does fine with my 70 lb dog (neither one seems too interested in the other), but she gets a bit nervous around big dogs on walks and at the dog park. She doesn't act aggressive, but she will bark when they approach. She really likes other small dogs and will play bow and chase with them at the dog park. She likes people, and when she's in a happy mood she enjoys wiggling her bottom for some good scratches!

Item Special Note

Special adoption considerations: Kaki probably went through some stressful event or trauma early on in life. As a result, she has some compulsive behaviors that are managed with medication. She is a wonderful pup, and needs a special, understanding home. Due to her need for a calm home and her behaviors, Kaki also cannot go to a home with children under the age of 15. There are no exceptions to this.

Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
