Item Description
This year we are focusing our fundraising efforts again on a Fund-a-Need for Flexible Learning Spaces. The school's furniture is aging in the upstairs and Sunroom classrooms and could use an update to match our recent renovations and better meet our students' needs. We are working with One Workplace and ordered new furniture for the upstairs hallway, Learning Specialist's Room, and the Little Room Classroom with last year's funds. This year, we are planning to raise funds to replace additional classroom furniture.
We want to focus on furnishing classrooms in a way that promotes collaboration, engagement, student choice, and flexibility. To that end, we're looking at various seating options better designed for young people and modular furniture that allows our cozy classroom spaces to be easily reconfigured according to the learning needs, including when those needs emerge spontaneously.
