Item Description
This stunning photograph captures the free spirit and rugged beauty of the Onaqui Wild Horses. Mudd.Flap Photography is the creation of Alisa Graham. Alisa has a great love for wild horses (she has adopted two wild mustangs) and a passion for photographing them. According to Alisa, “The Onaqui Wild Mustangs have run off with my heart.” Through her art, Alisa hopes to emphasize “why it is so important to love and respect the free and wild spirits we share this planet with!”
The photo, in sepia tones, measures 11” x 14” in a rustic black frame.
Item Special Note
The Onaqui Mountain horses are descended from horses brought to Utah in the late 1880s and used by early pioneers and native tribes. The Onaqui wild horses, numbering around 450, are known for their robust beauty and their ability to thrive in the harsh environment of the Great Basin Desert of western Utah. The herd is managed on public lands by the BLM in a 200,000 acre herd management area (HMA). To prevent overpopulation in the herds, some of the horses are rounded up, placed in holding facilities, and may be eligible for adoption by private parties.
