About the piece: The Blue Dog was made popular by Absolut Vodka in 1992, when Rodrigue was made an Absolut artist, along with Andy Warhol and Hans Godo Frabel.
About the artist: George Rodrigue (1944-2013), American. Rodrigue is known for his Blue Dog series, inspired his long-deceased childhood pet, Tiffany. Rodrigue studied at the University of Southwestern Louisiana and in Los Angeles at the Art Center of Design. His work reflects his Cajun culture including folk tales and bayou and swamp landscapes.
