Artist Statement:
Artist Biography:
Susan Dodge has hometown roots, born and raised in Marblehead. Susan created The Artful Dodger in 1995, designing a signature line of art pottery sold in galleries across the USA. An artist, painter, Susan is the Director of ArcWorks Community Art Center, where she currently curates exhibits at the ArcWorks Gallery and Breaking Grounds Caf on Main Street, in downtown Peabody, MA. Susan manages, and teaches the art program Steps to Create of Northeast Arc for adults with disabilities. Her "Swimmers 13" recently accepted into a national show at the Cambridge Arts Association and her "Little Neck Ipswich", won the award for "Excellence in Contemporary Art" in the 2022 National exhibit at the North Shore Arts Association. Susan has been volunteering and exhibited her work in the Marblehead Festival of Arts, since she was a teenager. She has contributed to the MFOA hand painted Cod Auction for seven years, and is excited to be included in "Whales on the Lawn 2023"
