Item Description

Artist: Whitney Knowlton-Wardle

Whitney is a Cape Codder born and raised. She is a painter, a sculptor, and a writer. She draws inspiration from nature and the fantastical.

Whitney is the author of Wayward as the Wind and The Summer of Storm and Strife, the first two books of a 5 book series.

Hi! I’m Whitney (she/her). I’m a New England artist and writer based in Boston, MA. I grew up on Cape Cod, and went to school in the Hudson Valley of New York State.

Since I was knee-high, I’ve dabbled in all forms of creative expression, but none have stuck quite as well as creative writing and drawing. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Visual Arts from the State University of New York at New Paltz in 2019.

I’ve been planning my debut fantasy series on-and-off since my Senior Year of High School, though it sat on the back burner for a long time while I focused on school and competitive swimming. Even when I wasn’t working on it, I knew someday I’d finally have the time to commit to the story and world I’ve carried in my head for so many years!

Motivated by a passion for storytelling and all things fantastical, I’m working my hardest to finish this series, and can’t wait to share this adventure with all of you!
