Item Description
In 1991, three-time Academy Award winner Meryl Streep starred in the romantic comedy Defending Your Life with Albert Brooks (who also wrote and directed the film). They play two recently deceased people who must review their respective lives before a panel of judges.
This sketch by legendary artist Al Hirschfeld features Streep dressed in the white caftan costume she wears throughout the film. It was first published in The New York Times on Sunday, March 17, 1991.
- This gicle, part of a 15-print, limited-edition run, is printed on 15 x 18 hot press paper and has been generously autographed by Streep.
- The edition is numbered, includes the official Hirschfeld Foundation embossed seal and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity provided by the Al Hirschfeld Foundation.
