Item Description
Bring your tap group to NYC to spend an hour and a half with Kim Schafer learning Broadway tap repertoire from shows like 42nd Street, Dames at Sea, and White Christmas! This class can also be conducted via Zoom in the comfort of your studio.
Kimberly’s class is a mix of styles ranging from Musical Theatre tap to rhythm tap. Her class appeals to all ages by using a variety of musical genres. Her energetic personality will guide you through a structured warm-up, across the floor routines, turns, and a fun yet challenging combination. Fine- tuned tap technique and vocabulary will be emphasized throughout the class as well as the joy of dancing. All classes will teach percussive footwork incorporating upper body movements all while challenging your ability to retain choreography. The tap technique will be thoroughly explained so all levels are encouraged. The combination will work on specific styles so that the students are exposed to various time periods. Tappers will gain feet articulation as well as a love for dance!
