Dan Gyves is a self-taught photographer from Mansfield, MA. His enduring passion is to capture the beauty of the American landscape, from New England to the western national parks and monuments. His travels have also enabled him to photograph several world heritage sites in Europe. Dan served as president of the Stony Brook Camera Club for the 2013 season and currently serves as the clubs print competition committee chair.

"Lupine Meadow" is an image the artist captured early one morning in an open field near Sugar Hill, NH. In this small village near Franconia, the lupines seem to grow wild and cover entire fields. Dan was fortunate to find a view that included the multiple colors of white, pink, and deep blue.
