Kevin Grady is a self-taught artist and native of Attleboro, MA. He has been creating and showing art since he co-founded the non-profit ArtReach in 1993. His work has been included in numerous galleries, solo shows and collaborations. Kevins pieces repurpose and recycle common items into artwork. By working with recycled materials, he aims to highlight the potential of objects that are often overlooked or discarded, and raise awareness of the importance of sustainability.
"Box of Secrets" is a reverse painting on glass, using acrylics, spray paint and solid paint markers on an antique window. The piece is influenced by the Zarif song of the same name, incorporating playful imagery and lyrics to evoke a sense of mystery.
Drivers in Attleboro may be familiar with the artist’s style. A related piece by the artist was recently wrapped on a utility box on the corner of Pleasant Street and Perry Avenue. Waiting at the red light at that corner is now more enjoyable thanks to Kevin's creativity.
