Corey Clark holds a BA in Anthropology from Rutgers University and is a graduate student of Historic Archaeology at UMass. Corey has no formal artistic training and paints landscapes observed on various field assignments.

"Box Elder County, Utah, 2018 I" was created during 2021 using photographs taken on field assignment in 2018. Using acrylics, Corey attempts to relay the desolate landscape left by wildfires that burned in the summer of 2018.
