Item Description
Photography
21" x 17" x 1"
From an eight-year-old with an "Open me first" Kodak Instamatic to a retired engineer with a DSLR camera, photography has been the single, creative outlet in Kenneth Salome's otherwise industrious career. That time-consuming career and lifes demands limited, and in some instances, suspended time devoted to his passion. Free of employment strains, Salome has re-immersed himself into that long lived, creative outlet. His works have been printed in 2017 Best of Photography and Lenswork and other publications.
Finding an image in the fast-moving crowds in the streets of Florence, Italy makes it difficult for a photographer use to studying his subjects. This caf worker appeared to be contemplating life during her break in a narrow alley. Walking past to avoid getting her attention I returned, camera ready. Click. She senses my presence and looks my way. Seemingly neither pleased or annoyed by the sight of my camera, I smiled and mouthed "Thank you". Tourists. Photograph was captured on 10/28/2017 and then printed on 08/26/2023.
