Angie Wimmer studied art and dance at the University of Nebraska where she holds a BFA with an emphasis in painting and textiles. She has exhibited her work at the AAM, the Pawtucket Arts Collaborative, the HeartSpot Gallery in East Providence and the Third Sanctum in Cranston, RI. "Nadia #1" is a portrait study in charcoal on textured canvas. This piece is part of a series created in 2021 exploring texture and the divine feminine in each of us. Ms. Wimmer is inspired by the many layers of experiences that we travel throughout our lives. As an oncology nurse, she spends time with people going through many changing life transitions. And with those transitions, the spirit of strength is always present. Her artwork seeks to explore this.
