Barbara Corrigan (1922-2012) was a life-long Attleboro resident and graduated from Mass College of Art & Design in 1944. She illustrated cookbooks, Yankee magazine covers and Highlights magazine covers. Attleboro residents know Corrigan for her notecards which were copies of her well over 400 paintings. Corrigan exhibited at the Boston Athenaeum, Ainsworth Gallery, Alfred J. Walker Gallery, Copley Society, the Boston 350 Show and the Attleboro Arts Museum. Her work is held in private and corporate collections world-wide. Many of Corrigans paintings were commissions for various companies and their marketing strategies.
This celebratory piece is of the Singapore skyline, but it's unknown which company commissioned it.
