Terry Van Heusen holds a BFA from RISD. She is an artist member of the Providence Art Club, RI South County Art Association and the AAM. Terry Van Heusen stages photoshoots with models, exploring the mystery and beauty of women through lighting and costume.
During the photoshoot for "The Star," the model unexpectedly took a child's ballerina tutu and pulled it over her head. The resulting image was the inspiration for the graphite drawing. The artist especially loved rendering the hands as they disappear beneath the tulle.
